KMR will not use or disclose protected tax return information for unauthorized purposes.

Where a disclosure or use requires specific written taxpayer consent, KMR will obtain that consent before proceeding.

Acceptance of this General Privacy Policy does not replace any separate taxpayer consent required under federal tax law.

5. Client Portals and KMR Taxes Done

KMR uses digital applications and client portals, including applications developed through Zoho Creator, to facilitate onboarding, document submission, subscription management, client communications, and service delivery.

Information submitted through these systems may be stored or processed using authorized third-party technology platforms.

Clients are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials and promptly reporting suspected unauthorized account access.

Clients should submit sensitive tax and financial documents only through secure channels designated by KMR rather than through unsecured public forms or communication methods.

6. Subscription Registration and Payment Processing

Clients enrolling in KMR subscription services may be required to provide billing details and authorize recurring payments.

KMR may utilize integrated third-party payment processors to collect, authorize, and process payments securely.

Depending on the payment method, KMR may receive limited transaction information, including payment status, transaction identifiers, and partial payment-method details.

Payment processors may separately collect and process card or bank-account information according to their applicable privacy and security practices.

Recurring billing amounts, payment schedules, cancellation provisions, and additional approved service charges are governed by the applicable Subscription Terms & Conditions and accepted client agreement.

7. Third-Party Service Providers

KMR utilizes third-party software and professional service providers to support its operations.

Depending on the services selected or authorized by the client, these may include:

  • Zoho applications, including CRM, Creator, Books, Sign, and WorkDrive.

Using one KMR service does not mean that all listed service providers receive the client's information.

8. Information Sharing and Disclosure

KMR does not sell client tax returns, financial records, or confidential client documents to data brokers or third-party marketers.

We may disclose information in limited circumstances:

Authorized Service Delivery: To employees, contractors, accountants, processors, and service providers with an authorized role in delivering services.

Client Authorization: When a client directs or legally authorizes disclosure to a lender, attorney, financial institution, government agency, or another designated recipient.

Legal Requirements: When disclosure is required or permitted by applicable law, court order, lawful regulatory request, or professional obligation.

Where protected tax return information is involved, applicable tax confidentiality laws and consent requirements continue to govern disclosure.

9. Data Security and Protection

KMR recognizes that tax and financial information requires heightened protection.

We seek to maintain appropriate administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to reduce risks of unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, misuse, or loss.

Safeguards may include access restrictions, user authentication, secure document transmission, staff confidentiality procedures, and controls provided by authorized technology platforms.

No electronic transmission or storage environment can be guaranteed completely secure.

In the event of a security incident involving personal information, KMR will assess the incident and provide notifications when required by applicable law.

Clients may unsubscribe from marketing emails using the instructions provided in those communications.

Clients receiving optional SMS messages may opt out by replying STOP where supported or by contacting KMR directly.

Mobile numbers and SMS opt-in consent information are not sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for their independent marketing or promotional purposes.

Communications service providers may process information as necessary to deliver authorized messages.

12. Data Retention

KMR retains personal, financial, and tax information for periods reasonably necessary to provide services, maintain professional records, comply with legal and regulatory requirements, resolve disputes, and enforce applicable agreements.

Retention periods may vary depending on the type of document, tax year, legal obligations, and applicable professional standards.

  • Other rights available under applicable privacy laws.

Requests may be submitted to info@kmrtax.com.

KMR may require identity verification before processing requests involving sensitive records.

Certain information may be retained or withheld where required or permitted by tax law, legal obligations, professional duties, or applicable exceptions.

KMR will respond to qualifying requests and provide any required appeal process in accordance with applicable law.

14. Information Concerning Children and Dependents

KMR's website and subscription services are generally intended for adults and authorized business representatives.

However, tax preparation and related professional services may require information concerning dependent children or other family members.

Such information is collected and processed only as reasonably necessary for lawful professional services, with appropriate authorization, or as otherwise permitted or required by law.

KMR does not intentionally market its subscription services directly to children under 13.

15. International Processing

Depending on the location of KMR's authorized personnel and service providers, information may be processed or accessed from locations outside a client's state or country of residence.

Any applicable cross-border processing will remain subject to relevant confidentiality, data protection, contractual, and legal requirements.

Our website, application, and client portal may contain links to external websites, financial institutions, software applications, and payment platforms.

These external services may have separate privacy policies and data handling practices.

Clients are encouraged to review the applicable privacy information before authorizing third-party connections or submitting information directly to external providers.

17. Changes to This Privacy Policy

KMR may revise this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our operations, technology, services, or applicable legal requirements.
